Playskool More Than Play Campaign

Playskool has a great new campaign titled “More Than Play”. The More Than Play Campaign is an educational initiative to share how play lays down important foundational skills needed for advanced learning such reading, writing, mathematics, critical problem solving, and conceptual thinking. Behind all the fun and laughter is the foundations of your child’s physical, intellectual, and emotional development… foundations that will last a lifetime.

This is something I total agree with, when I purchase toys I always make sure it is something that my son will benefit from. After reading about the More Than Play Campaign I was thrilled to realize that I was doing a good job on toy selection. A few of the products that we already have that are on the list are the Busy Ball Popper, DinoRoar Stompers, DanceCam and Mr. Potato Head.

To my surprise, one of my sons favorite toys is the Busy Ball Popper. It is teaching him more than I thought. I bought it thinking it would be great for motor skills, but it is teaching him much more...

It’s More Than Play... Busy Ball Popper Also Teaches:

Eye Tracking
Temporal Awareness
Hand-Eye Coordination
Pincer Grip
Anticipation & Prediction
Object Permanence
Fundamental Movement Skills
Gross Motor Skills
Spatial Awareness
Problem Solving

Here are the foundational skills for some of the other products that we own that are on the list:
Mr. Potato Head
  • Imagination

Dance Cam
  • Fitness & Stamina

You can learn more by visiting the Playskool More Than Play website and reading the child development facts and benefits surrounding the skills associated with each toy on the list !!
