With LeapFrog’s new Text & Learn, there’s finally a PDA for the preschool age group. What do toddlers see? Mommy and Daddy texting or tweeting with this little device in their hands. What little one wouldn’t want to get their hand on it ?The Text & Learn is perfect for the diaper bag, home ,car or riding in the stroller. The Text & Learn is a must for us to have in the diaper bag when we leave the house. My little one plays with it at home and on the go. He calls it his “puter” and is a toy he plays with daily. I love that it is not just a toy it is also educational !
The device, which is a bigger than your average BlackBerry, is geared toward ages 3 years and up who are learning to spell . It has games that focus on spelling and basic computer skills. Other learning activities include letter matching, shape identification, and QWERTY keyboard navigation. The Text & Learn has a calendar for learning days of the week, phonics functions on the keyboard. There's also some "texting" your child can interact with their onscreen buddy, Scout. The music section allows them to listen and dance along with their friend Scout !
Fun Facts:
According to a new survey from LeapFrog and Harris Interactive of 2,160 parents:
- 52% said their children cried when denied access to their PDA
- 38% said their children threw a tantrum when denied access to their PDA
- 9% were found in the toilet
- 7% were found in the trash.
- 60% were dropped
- 34% were thrown
- 30% were actually hit
- 57% called someone
- 37% changed settings
- 34% dialed a wrong number
- 16% sent a text message

We're looking forward to the new LeapFrog DVD that's coming out "Let's Go to School", we have the other LeapFrog DVD's and love them, I'm a huge fan of LeapFrog products! They've been the best learning tool for my boys, hands down. My son would love to win this one!
