To-Go Ware
Review &Giveaway

About the Company:
" Our mission is to make available innovative products that provide a solution, tell a great story, and are enjoyable to use. To-Go Ware seeks to stimulate positive practices for the way people live in relationship with themselves, their neighbors and the planet. We hope to empower people to participate in the process of changing the world they live in by providing them the tools to do so."

Are you looking for a way to save money and help the environment when you pack your lunch ? I came across a great product and company to help! To-Go Ware offers a variety of food containers , utensils , and bags to carry the containers. I received a 2-Tier Stainless Steel Tiffin (included a sidekick tiffin) and utensil set.
A tiffin is a lunch box system that hails from India, it is reusable, lightweight, and has a lid that doubles as a plate. It’s easy to carry and clean, Great for both cold or hot food, and the planet, too.Fold down the handle to make it compact and easy to store. Perfect for work, school and picnics.

The To-Go Ware utensil set is a toolkit to help you reduce your ecological footprint and keep you connected to the world. Enjoy eating with natural utensils made of bamboo, a highly durable and sustainable resource that can be grown and harvested sustainably. I really like that the utensils have such a stylish carrier. The unique holder for this utensil set has been produced by CONSERVE, an NGO project in Diffelhi. It is made entirely of recycled plastic ! The Newsprint style actually contains recycled newspaper.

I really like that the 2 tier tiffin allows you to use one or two containers. I packed my lunch and I had a salad on the top with the sidekick for my dressing (nice not to have a soggy salad) on bottom I had it filled with fresh fruit. With the tiffin and untensils I was ready good to go !

Did you watch Oprah's Earth Day special this past Wednesday ? If you tunned in like I did you would know that To-Go Ware was featured on the show ! To-Go Ware also offered viewers a 20% off discount code: " TOGO20" (code good until July 30, 2009, single use only).

    Our commitment in action...
We are honored to support the work of our business partners at WEAVE and CONSERVE. Women's Education for Advancement and Empowerment, or WEAVE, is an amazing organization of women living in a Burmese refugee camp that conceived of a business that would allow them self-determination, pride, income to provide for their families, as well as highlighting their incredible talent for weaving and embroidery. CONSERVE is an NGO located in India, that has created a unique and innovative business that not only is able to employ traditionally marginalized folks at a fair living wage, but is removing millions of plastic bags from New Delhi's landfills every year. CONSERVE uses it's profits to build schools.

Bamboo is extremely durable and can withstand a great deal of use without damage. It's stronger even than oak, and when laminated, bamboo is nearly as strong as soft steel. Bamboo doesn't swell or shrink as hardwoods do, and won't impart food flavors or staining.

She spent years in the Natural Products industry, food service and wellness fields and all informed the development of To-Go Ware. Now, years later, watching these products and concepts come to fruition has never seemed more urgent, as we are all needing tools to become Solutionaries as our world faces many challenges ecologically.
