Time Out Pad
My son just turned 2 and we are starting time outs with him. Since receiving the Time Out Pad from Keen Distribution, time outs have because much easier to deal with in our house. First off I like the size of it, small enough to take with you on a trip to grandma's or vacation. You can set the time to your child, one minute to five. We are setting the timer for 1 minute even though it should be 1 minute per their age. We will move it to 2 soon. He caught on to the concept really quick. When you turn it on the red light comes on and if they get off before the timer goes off an alarm will sound. The red light will switch to yellow when 1/2 the time has passed. Once time is over the green light will come on a play fun music to let them know they can get up !See how the Time Out Pad works !
From their site :
The Time Out Pad™ helps parents make the most of the time out technique.
To help children learn when their behavior is not acceptable, many parents use the 'time-out' technique, sitting the child quietly for a few minutes to calm down. Time-outs are a great way for the parents to stay calm too!

Wow I need a couple of these. I do home daycare and time outs work really well but getting them to stay there is more of a problem than what they did wrong to start with. Thanks for the GREAT information. I am going to check them out right now.................
